Damp bones
A coldness that penetrates- everything, everywhere, everything that makes up every essence of who you are

Dripping
In a drenched t shirt
Then you get back
You towel off
You make tea- put on warm socks
Warmth does its best to fill your heart- still failing
But the wetness still clings to you, unrelenting
The rain still pelts the single pane windows- there's wind and thunder and howling
HOW THE HELL ARE THEY STILL STANDING?
The rain can't last forever
You think, but it does
A painful memory refusing to be viewed head on
Just outside of mental realization

Dripping
Jeans glued to your legs, carrying groceries

A consistent Grey storm
